Today is Summer Solstice, the day when the Northern Hemisphere faces its closest star the longest. This means more time in the sunlight, and we took advantage of it.
First, we went to the town beach. Amazingly, very few people were there. The kids immediately started playing in the sand.
Flowergirl approached the water well-prepared.
Sunboy stood in the water and watched the boats drift in the distance.
Next, we went to the playground adjacent to the beach.
Sunboy pushed Flowergirl down the slide. I’m not sure she appreciated the help.
Eventually, big brother and little sister slid together.
Even long mornings are over too soon, but we had fun.
