Shadow puppet charades

I’m a strong believer in the power of boredom to inspire the imagination. As an only child, I know from experience that one creates the best stories, fantasy worlds and games while bored. Tonight we sat in Flowergirl’s room with only  single flashlight in the darkness during an extended blackout. It was too dark to read without eyestrain. Too dark to do most things. So, we invented shadow puppet charades: we took turns making shadow animals with our hands while others guessed which animal we made. Shadow puppet charades might not exist even now if it wasn’t for our boredom. You’re welcome, world… you have our boredom to thank.
