MOON FULL OF MOONS is the First Place Winner of the Royal Dragonfly Book Award in Poetry!
I love their tagline:
“Dragonflies are reminders that we are light and can reflect light in powerful ways if we choose to do so.”
It’s a perfect fit for MOON FULL OF MOONS, which is about finding happiness after deep sadness. The 102 poems are ordered according to the phases of the Moon, with sad poems in the “New Moon” chapter, poems of hope in the “Waxing Crescent” chapter, poems of happiness and faith in the “Full Moon” chapter, and so on. The moons on the cover show the change from darkness to light. MOON FULL OF MOONS is about finding the light within us and doing what we can to shine that light, even if we feel surrounded by darkness.
Every time something happens that spreads the word of MOON FULL OF MOONS, I think about those who have written to tell me how the book helped them in some way or spoke to them on their healing journey, or how much they enjoyed the reset of focusing on the silent beauty that is everywhere. And the happiness I feel is the happiness of connection. I do not claim to have all the answers, but I know when we share our stories, we create a safe place for others to share their stories. We create community for those seeking the light after too much darkness. Thanks to everyone who shines the light for others!
